Church and Community
To provide pastarol care and practical support to church run and sponsored organisations through the operation of a Link Visitors scheme
To encourage interaction between organisations and the church fellowship,
To develop relations between St John's and the community.
Church and World
To work for God's justice in society by supporting and promoting various charities and pressure groups and be good stewards of the material resources of creation by practising environmnetally friendly policies.
Faith Development
To build up new members in the Christian Faith, helping all to mature in their faith and be equipped for their particular ministry,
To provide all members and adherents with a variety of educational opportunities and discovery groups to help develop growth in understanding and faith.
Fellowship
To provide opportunities for the whole congregation to enjoy fellowship throughout the year, with a sufficient variety of activities to meet the needs of all age groups and interests.
Pastoral Care
To ensure that every member/adherent of the fellowship of St John's has a pastoral visitor so that all will feel supported and included in every aspect of church life. The pastoral care structures are supplemented by individual relationships which support and encourage members.
Property
Responsible for the maintenance of the fabric and grounds of the church, halls and manse.
Publicity and Promotions
To publicise and promote the Christian faith within the church fellowship and the local community and make St John's known as a centre of Christian worship and fellowship.
Worship
Responsible for all aspects of worship as it affects the life of the Church.
Objective: to make worship touch peoples' hearts and minds by being varied, relevant and stimulating.
Youth and Children
To share with our children and young people what our faith means to us and the difference it makes to our lives. Our committment is to provide a safe and secure environment with the best possible leadership and facilities.
